As the company’s sole writer, I established the brand voice and implemented copy standards and work-flow processes while creating and editing all content. I manage The Tile Shop’s blog, strategizing content based on trends, product priorities, and SEO, amassing over 760,000 views and 5,000 subscriptions in the first year. With the addition of two junior writers, I took on a supervisory role that has allowed me to grow as a leader and hone my editing skills. The breadth of my role allows me to establish cohesive and targeted brand messaging as I write and edit creative content for the website, email, social media, catalogs, public relations, digital and print ads, in-store signage, influencer relations, corporate communications, product packaging, and more.

Social Media Copywriter, Digital Promotional Merchandising Coordinator

In collaboration with art directors and designers, I concept stories and write engaging, sales-driving copy in the Kohl’s voice for all social media posts, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest. I directly contributed to the growth of Instagram followers from 173,000 to nearly one million in a year and a half. As a marketing copywriter, I wrote headlines and copy for digital brand landing pages, targeted direct mail (including educational and onboarding pieces), editorial headlines for a wedding registry magazine/catalog, internal and corporate signage, email subject lines, and geo-targeted mobile notifications. On an incubator team, I created versioned copy based on customer personas and shopping behaviors for all company personalization initiatives utilizing data and analytics.
